Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico to a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to lots of traditional music as well as old Boleros. In addition, she was a fan of traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form theatrical performance. Ana began to learn how to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. She received more formal training in singing when she reached the age of 16 old, under the legendary Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The training in music continued at the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young musician and student. Following her move in the United States in 2000, she joined the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in various community-based projects because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana was a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana feels privileged to be able share with others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes that this will encourage younger generations to preserve the traditions.
